What we did:ActionScriptDesignFlashHigh-level programming
The "Solar Fuel Chemistry Challenge" Flash game was another project for the Manchester University Photon Science Institute. This game was about a chemistry challenge puzzle game (players needed a chemistry background to solve the formula). The game was developed for both online play at the Royal Society website, and for a science exhibition.
As part of the design of the game, one of the faculty professors was illustrated and added to the game as a support character. Depending on their interactions, he would provide advice, tips and hints to help them complete the puzzle at each stage.
As with all of the Flash games created for Manchester University, they were all created using fully scaleable vector graphics so they rendered well regardless of whether they were viewed online or on a 32" HD LCD screen for the event.
