This video is about the SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act), and has been explained by Cenk Uygur from TheYoungTurks (links to their YouTube channel). Initially SOPA sounds like it has been designed to help large companies prevent online privacy, which most people surely will be in favour of, to protect the rightful owners of copyrighted material. However, what the SOPA actual does is a different story altogether as outlined by Cenk Uygur in this video. It’s pretty scary stuff.
Companies in opposition of SOPA include Google (Matt Cutts has blogged about this a lot, see latest post here: Progress againt SOPA), Facebook, Twitter and Ebay.
