Falkon Digital would like to welcome Robson Loseby to our team! Robson is our new Jr Design Apprentice in partnership with Oldham College, and is the second apprentice we have taken on since moving to our offices at Grosvenor House in Altrincham.
Robson, pictured above holding a Hot Wheels cake (a gift from us after passing his driving test!) came from a largely print background, but is quickly getting to grips with the digital side of design. His recent work has included developing a responsive ecommerce website for Magento using the 1,140px grid system, as well as designing and skinning a website using the WordPress CMS platform that he will manage on an ongoing basis. This will provide valuable insights into the inner workings of the platform so he can create better designs.
Luke Sherran, Managing Director of Falkon Digital said:
“Robson is a young but enthusiastic candidate that has had a lot of commercial experience in print. Our aim is to get him quickly up to speed within the digital environment and introduce some fresh ideas that we can utilise in our service offering.”
The apprenticeship scheme is a brilliant way of gaining qualifications while working in a commercial environment. Although they involve a lot of initial investment with the training time, long-term they provide an excellent way of building up a skilled team.
