The Falkon Digital team took part in the X-Runner Wild Mud Run 2015. Luke, Steve, Lee and Jon took on...
After sponsoring a cask at Knutsford Beer festival, is was only polite that the Falkon Digital team should attend and sample a few of the specialist beers on offer.
Falkon Digital recently attended the Knutsford Beer Festival. It is great to be able to support a local event and as the company was originally based in Knutsford so it was good to go back for a few beers and live entertainment.
The team attended the event on Friday evening, the first night of the 3 day events. We were able to sponsor a keg of ale called ‘Happy Valley Blackout XO (Rum Porter)’ and wanted to sample it before it was sold out.
We thought it was very nice, and it obviously did the trick as our Director Luke was ready to go home by 11pm!
There were 40 types of beer to sample as well as a few ciders all sponsored by local businesses supporting the event. The Beer Festival had been sold out for weeks and the venue of the Old Town Hall, currently vacant, provided the perfect space to accommodate Knutsford’s finest.
Sponsoring this event was a great excuse to have a team night out and were even joined by an ex employee. Although some were missing when Jonathan Farber from the Knutsford Times papped us in the above photo.
Our Head of Online Marketing and SEO, Sadie embarrassed us all by drinking tankards of wine. Were not so sure if she read the information on the website before the event!
Meanwhile our Web Designer Rob would drink nothing but Wrexham Lager! And when we eventually did get him to try something else he had to swap his tankard as it was ‘too horrible to drink’!
There were a few beers that were named extremely well such as ‘Hoptimus Prime’ and ‘Roadrunner’. However Steve our Technical Director didn’t take to kindly to a couple!
All in all it was a great night, spent in great company and some awesome live bands on and a great burger stall outside!
The beer festival was also raising money for Knutsford and District Lions, and Cheshire Search and Rescue, two very important local charities.
We look forward to potentially being able to sponsor the event again next year.
