Bentley Continental GTC - The reveal at the Bentley Manchester showroom

On the 7th October at the Manchester Bentley showroom, an event was held for the reveal of the new Continental GTC. Both myself and Steve were fortunate enough to be covering the event photography for the night, and were able to see the £149,350.00 Grand Touring Coupe up close as it was literally unveiled in front of 100 hand selected VIPs. The unveiling was choreographed by United Productions and their team of models, all of which wore specially created Bentley hats.

The Manchester showroom was themed with ambient lighting provided by the popular artist Bruce Munro, and also included limited edition prints of his previous work which was featured throughout. There was also a 3D feature provided by Panasonic, and the guests were kept ‘refreshed’ with glasses of champagne from Ruinart (one of the oldest Champagne Houses in the World) served in Riedel glasses.

We will update our consistently out of date photography portfolio soon with the images from the night, but in the meantime, here are a few teasers!

Below is an image taken from Bruce Munro’s “field of light” which ran through the centre of the showroom.

As one of the photographers who went to capture the event, I have to say it was a smorgasbord of possible lighting setups – not easy on my Canon’s auto white balance (!). But shooting in RAW it was easy enough to tweak and play with in post. With a fast lens such as my 50mm on f/2 I was able to capture the natural lighting and capture the atmosphere and mood of the changing lighting, which helped the images really reflect style of the night.
